"CHRISTMAS 2009"

A quiet peaceful Christmas this year in our little town of Austin. No post Christmas trip to Fort Worth this year in a whirlwind of family visits and activities. Martha has to work Christmas day until eight pm which sucks, (she gave notice and quit two weeks later)! We met Laurie and Stephanie for a little visit and Christmas meal at a Road House Steak restaraunt in Waco. She was about to go to Florida for Christmas so it was our only chance to see them before then. Very casual and low key but somehow still very cool. I wish we had brought a camera.
There was a Christmas party for True Results employees and their families on 12/18, much drinking and merriment, and then it was Christmas. We were invited to have a Christmas dinner with friends so it turned out to be a very merry, happy holiday, (I have that song from Rudolf the red nosed reindeer stuck in my head so please excuse the sappy part).
Following group of pics are from our home.

Christmas dinner with Marie and Raul and Shirley after Martha finally got loose from Seton. Shirley was on call unfortunately, because she did get paged to go in for a procedure a little later in the evening. We all still managed to have a really pleasant meal and fellowship plus gift exchange. I was able to surprise Marti with the bicycle gift and Marie surprosed Raul with the running boards for his truck. she and I were both so pleased with our cleverness!

Our gift exchange was the day after Christmas, pics are from home in Pflugerville.

The day after Christmas, Barb and Scott come and visit for a couple of days. This was the best part of our quiet little Christmas at home. We talked, played games, had a margarita night, went bowling, and had one of the best visits we've had in some time. It was really great spending time with them both, and they really seem good together. I look forward to seeing them both in March.
