"CHRISTMAS 2008"

This is the first Christmas since my parents passed away and it's strange to know I won't see them or talk to them on the phone. Barbara and Scott are state side now but are in Georgia, so we won't see them either.
Martha has to cover shifts at the hospital and Fujitsu locks out Christmas week for field techs, so our Christmas is a little subdued.
However, we are able to meet up with most of our church group and attend a Christmas Eve service together, which was really nice. Our Christmas day together was really great, and we have guests coming to visit right after Christmas. And then we're going to Fort Worth to visit the Loken's, Rob's family, and the Quinn's (in that order), the weekend after New Years, so we're excited!

The day after Christmas, Laurie and Steph come down and bring Andrea, this is our first visit with her since we moved and she wanted to see our house and visit. We met them at Chuy's in Round Rock for "authentic" TexMex. The burritto's are fantastic! Then back to the house for gift exchange, visiting and lots of wine! We had such a great time with them.

The next morning someone didn't think they looked presentable, (a shower and hair washing would've worked), so we had a mystery guest, no pics allowed. She did have a nasty head cold and was a good sport about it so she gets a pass this time!

It wasn't all trying to catch Andr...uh, mystery guest, on the camera. We had a really nice morning too. I had to run a quick call so they played Rummikub, which worked out, because it's a four player game.

New Years passed, with us asleep, but now it's our weekend to take a few days in Fort Worth. We get there about 11:00 pm and it's "Rock Star" on the WII, or something to that effect. Marti does that until about 1:30 am. LOL!

We were in town to go see Trans-Siberian Orchestra on Saturday with the "gang". Then we all met at a really nice restaurant to celebrate Paul's birthday.

The next day was Rob's family. He wanted to take us to a bar-b-que he really liked, his treat! We had a really great time visiting with him and Matt and Kim. We have to make sure we stay close since Mom isn't here to be a focal point. Family is important.

Monday is our last day, we hang out with the Loken's for a while then go to visit Marti's BFF. OK, Amber and Dave are my friends too, and Trevor and Sierra have grown so much! It was good to see them again and just sit and visit. Plus we needed Sierra to show all of us how to use the bluetooth on our phones. Four adults, not one of was getting it to work and she did it in less than one minute like it was the easiest thing she had ever done! LOL!
