Now comes the eight hour drive to visit Barbara and Scott, rain still with us most of the way, and much of the time we were there, though we did manage some sight seeing on historic River Street. Savannah's historic waterfront is lined with more than 100 unique shops and galleries and restaurants. During good weather this is where many of the ferry's and historic tours launch from. Cobblestone streets, a trolley that runs through the 2 block length, and a beautiful view of the Savannah River all combine to create a unique flavor. River Street is a must see when in Savannah.
