BANNER YEAR AT MOSS HOUSE
Last quarter of the year, a lot of major events going on. First is Laurie's big
Five-O. Paul planned a big surprise party that went off really well in October.
November was the usual small family get-togethers for Thanksgiving. We
had our first empty nest Christmas,
and then the biggest event for us; Scott
comes back from basic for a Holiday break and he and Barbara have a quick
and informal wedding before he goes back to finish training and get his orders.
Barbara will stay with us for two months before she goes to join him, probably
in Germany.
Finally, the 'annual' New Year's Eve dinner party hosted by Paul and Laurie.
This is the first time Bob and Doris have been in Fort Worth at new year so they
were able to come. The number of attendees was a little smaller, and Paul
had a bad cold that was going around, so no drunken rowdiness this year. But
still the company of friends and family to see in the new year.
LAURIE'S 50th
Party was a huge success, Laurie really didn't have any clue. Many friends
from TCU plus the usual motley crew; an 'over the hill' theme; and good natured
roasting from long time friends, as well as a Dean Martin style roast from
her favorite brother-in-law. That was fun, I really enjoyed that. Plus a large
picture board featuring Laurie's
hair styles over the last 50 years that guests signed on the way in. I enjoyed making
that too.

THANKSGIVING 2005
Thanksgiving with the parents and Rob and his two kids, Mathew and Kim.
BARBARA & SCOTT WEDDING
December 29, Barbara and Scott tie the knot in a quick informal ceremony
with family and a few friends. Barbara moves back in with us while Scott finishes
training and then off they go to Germany. God bless them and keep them
close to Him and to each other.
Had to break out wedding pics to another page as this one was growing too
large to load. Here are the links:

NEW YEAR 2006
It's become an annual tradition. A late dinner at the Loken's with a few old
friends, and then pass time with a game and see in the new year. It's a dress
nice type of meal, Paul is a pretty good amateur chef. Laurie and Martha's
parents joined us this year so that was good.
