A quick trip to Fort Worth to visit Laurie and also close friends. Not enough time as always, but we did get to see Trevor play soccer, and share wine and laughter over cards that night before heading back to Austin. Thank you Laurie for putting us up as always. You are a blessing to us.
SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE
The top performers tour every season and this year the our group has tickets to see the performance. Shirley, on crutches, Marlana, Marie and Raul, Martha and myself. Long show, and I had an early morning install, but it was a really good show, and it was pretty funny trying to get Shirley up and down the stairs to our seats.
MARIE'S BIRTHDAY!!!
Always a little different, Marie starts off with dinner at a sushi bar, with chopsticks, (I wondered if I would starve but in the end I managed), followed by a private room for karaoke. Not sure if this was arranged by Marie or Raul, but it fit her crazy, fun loving nature. Usual suspects plus a couple of Raul's friends, plus alcohol, made for some really bad singing and a lot of fun! Happy Birthday Marie.
THANKSGIVING AT STEPHANIE'S
Traditionally a time for families and friends to come together and be aware of their blessings, or least be aware of the food. The first year we were in Austin, Laurie and Stephanie came for Thanksgiving, just the four of us, and it was a great day.
This year the gathering is more traditional with a house full of family, and it's a large house. Martha gets a couple of days to spend in Ft Worth. I get one, I have to work on being thankful for my employer.
TRUE RESULTS CHRISTMAS PARTY
A Christmas party at a tequila bar, the Iron Cactus in N Austin. What more could you ask for to round out the year? Planning to have Christmas dinner with Marie and Raul on Christmas day. Pics will be posted on the
