This will be the first time we've taken two weeks for a vacation break but we need the time and there's a lot on the itinerary. We want to go to the east coast to visit family, plus we've always wanted to see Washington, DC, and this is the best opportunity. The plan is to fly to DC for a couple of days and sightsee. Then we drive to Maryland to visit Brian, Lisa, and the girls for a couple of days, drive to Virginia to visit Andrea and Tony for a couple of days, and then an eight hour drive to Georgia to visit Barbara and Scott for four days before flying back to Austin.

You actually need two weeks, not 2 days, to actually "see" the Capital City,but we will try to come back someday to see and experience the rest. The DC leg was topped off having dinner with Elizabeth and Brian Larkin. It was good to meet Brian and to see Elizabeth again. The last time was at Bobby's wedding in 2004? We had dinner at a swank little resturaunt near their apartment where the staff all knew them.
